Grouse Hill Caravan and Camping Park is a family-run park catering for seasonal pitches, touring caravans, trailer tents, tents, motor homes, cabins, static caravan and holiday cottage hire. Our guests’ enjoyment and safety is paramount and therefore we ask you to read the following Terms and Conditions.
PAYMENT AND GENERAL RULES : PLEASE NOTE
All caravans sited at Grouse Hill must be sufficiently insured and we require a copy of this document for our records.
Caravans are sited on a pitch at the owners’ risk.
The seasonal pitch is for holiday purposes only and not to be misused and will only be allowed to accommodate a maximum of 5 people at any one time.
NO sub-letting.
ONE electric outlet per pitch ONLY.
NO Halogen heaters allowed to heat awnings.
Seasonal caravans must not be sold on the site without permission and will not be allowed to remain sited without prior discussion with Site Managers/Owners. Caravans must be under 10 years of age to be sold on the caravan site. If we assist in the sale by finding a customer a commission will be required by Grouse Hill.
A £200.00 NON-refundable or transferable deposit is required from all customers for all pitches for the following season, if this is NOT paid we cannot guarantee your pitch for the following season.
AWNINGS are only allowed to be left up for the whole season for those customers who pay for a double hard standing. All other customers on (grass and single hard standings) should remove awnings when the caravan is not in use.
All seasonal customers are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of their caravan and surrounding space and should be free from clutter!
The toilet facility blocks are for your use and comfort, please keep in a clean and tidy manner or how you would like to find them yourself.
All caravans must be gas checked.
The speed limit on the park is 5mph.
A restriction of two cars per seasonal pitch only.
Grouse Hill allows visitors to the site although it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they assist with their exit from the site barrier, please do not send visitors to reception for the daily exit code.
Children’s play area is provided for your use, it has been designed to be challenging and should be used appropriately by children above the age of 8, children must be supervised by a suitable parent or guardian. Children must play on this equipment in a safe manner and at their own risk, the play park closes at 9pm or dusk (whichever is earlier).
Children must ride bicycles/scooters responsibly on the park. Be aware of cars at all times.
Ball games are NOT permitted in or around the toilet blocks or caravans, a suitable play field at the top of the site has been provided for your use.
Please be aware the toilet blocks are cleaned regularly, and during this period please observe the safety notices and wet floor signs, please use the floor mops and buckets after showering or for any water spills, otherwise please report any incidents to a staff member.
No music, singing or other noise which may cause a nuisance to other occupiers of the park shall NOT be permitted between the hours of 10pm and 8am, and other times we would ask you to be considerate and not cause or create any undue noise or disturbance.
Grouse Hill holds a strict Recycling policy and we ask you adhere to this; the large red labelled recycling bins are for cardboard, paper, plastic, and tin cans (all to be washed out!!). The red bins labelled general waste are all other waste and food waste. Large items such as BBQs, deck chairs, awnings, microwaves and TVs should be taken home or disposed of at the general refuse centre at Whitby (this can be found to the right turn just past Sainsbury’s). Extra bin collection of these large items may result in further fees added.
Generators are NOT permitted.
PLEASE NOTE All Electrical items should be used with care and not left switched on whilst caravan is unattended. Halogen heaters are not allowed. Water barrels, steps, solar lights, satellites, decking boards and other items should not obstruct grass areas where grass cutting is undertaken by the park staff. Electric hook up cables should be removed and stored away whilst caravan is unattended.
All gas appliances and BBQs should be used with care; these should not be used within awnings due to the carbon monoxide poisoning risk.
The pond and stream are located at the bottom of the caravan site and may be enjoyed by all nature lovers and families, please be aware for all customers with small children this could pose a potential danger if not suitably supervised.
The dry stone walls have recently been repaired by the local farmer and should not be climbed or stones removed.
Well behaved dogs are only allowed on leads and must not be left unattended in caravans or allowed to foul around the park. Anyone found to be letting their dog out of their caravan late at night unsupervised will be asked to leave the site.
Please NOTE we have a Reception area at the side of our house, we use this during weekends and when the caravan site is quiet. Main reception opening times will be clearly allocated on the window at the site of the main Reception door, and will change during busy periods. All gas exchanges, Wi-Fi and shop items must be purchased whilst the main reception is OPEN.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT SCOTTS FIR COTTAGE’S MAIN HOUSE DOOR SHOULD ONLY BE USED IN EMERGENCIES.
